The Coffee House was inspired by the industrial style of the Bronx in New York.
The Coffee House logo was created using Illustrator, and the promotional material was done in Photoshop.
“The Coffee House” was a brand generated to be a business that would thrive in a new shopping complex. The process of creating the branding for “The Coffee House” began with deciding on a target audience of everyday workers, who need a coffee hit in the morning or a pick me up to get through the rest of the day. The design needed to be simple to suit the older demographic, this was done by using one line to outline the shape of a coffee cup. A takeaway cup was used to imply that customers take their coffee to go to suit their fast-paced lives and that “The Coffee House” can keep up. Multiple variations were created for the brand to be used on separate occasions. For example, a red circular variation was used on the front of the business card.
The brief was to create a coffee shop inside a new shopping complex. I began ideating, sketching up rough ideas that featured lines and shapes.
After choosing a final design idea, I digitally created the logo using Illustrator. The original logo featured white on black, after creating this, I went through and designed simple variations such as changing the backgrounds shape and the colours.
The final step was to create promotional material. I used Photoshop to create signage and business cards. I used the red, black and white colour theme to create a continuous brand. I then created a mock business card using Photoshop.
